Lorenza Miranda Quilaton, Age:89

Lorenza Miranda Quilaton passed on the afternoon of February 22,2024. She was preceded by Antonio Miranda, Juanita Tiga, Daniel Miranda Jr., Lita Miranda. She is survived by her loving children: Rolando (Marlene) Quilaton, Maria (John) Guzmir Peace, Rosario (Jose) Del Valle, Susan (George) Miran, and Maria Elena (Rhoel) Lomahan. Siblings: Felicita De leon and Teresita Miranda. Grandchildren Kenneth, Michael, Maria (Daniel), Christine, Sarah, John, David, Jeremy, Abby Rose, Lilly Rae, Sarah (Ramon), Rebekah, Joshua, and Mary. Great Grandchildren: Yazmin, Anastasia, and Theodon.

Lorenza was born in Nueva Ecija, north of Manila, Philippines. She was the third born of seven siblings, with her four sisters and two brothers. She grew up during World War II during the Japanese occupation. She followed after her husband and came to Chicago in 1972, later also joined by her 5 children. She worked three jobs simultaneously, in Central Supply in the hospital, caregiving the elderly, and was resourceful as a business woman also owning several properties. She loved her family sacrificially and has left a lasting legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Olson Burke/ Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6471 N Northwest Hwy, Chicago, 60631.
