Charles William Pfister Jr., Age:75

Charles William Pfister Jr. born and raised in Park Ridge Il, lived a full life to the age of 75 before succumbing to colon cancer in the comfort of his own home on 9/16/2023.

Charlie was born to Charles William Pfister and Mary Virgina Murphy at St. Joseph Hospital on March fourth nineteen hundred and forty-eight.  Charlie graduated from Loyola high school and went on to the University at Boulder where he studied physics and earned his Bacholrs.

The thing Charlie cared about most in his life was his family and he would do anything for them no matter what type of bind it would put him in. Charlie had many hobbies through his long life, he enjoyed fishing, spending a day out on the links, collecting, bowling, trains. Every craft that he took up he put his whole being into and really dedicated the time necessary to become excellent. He loved thoroughly and with a great intensity that he could never express with words, but that you felt, by his everyday actions.

The world has lost one of its last truly giving and kind souls with his passing.

There will be a Celebration to honor this most humble and loving man's life on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Olson Burke-Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center in Chicago, Illinois from 2-4pm.

Charles was a good hearted man. He and I would always talk about that brown coat he wore everyday, even when it was 20 degree weather. Gonna miss his smile. RIP

I worked with Charles at O'hare airport. I would sit next to him on the shuttle bus in the morning. He never took up two seats like most and always had a pleasant greeting in the early morning hours. I will miss his smile and greetings. Rest in peace my friend. šŸ™
